Description: Are you unsure how to best represent yourself when trying to get into juried exhibits? Would you like a deeper insight into your work, and tools for critique? Led by artist and art coach Karon Leigh, this is the artist tune-up workshop for you! Join fellow creatives in this guided 2-day course focused on enhancing your ability to critique artwork, engaging in the artistic community around you, learning what makes your art “you”, and building your confidence when exhibiting. The class will then culminate in a mock exhibition.

• Students must bring 4-5 pieces of their work. These can be pieces that they like best, they feel best reflect them, or even pieces that they are unsure of but would like some feedback on.
• This workshop will combine instructional presentations, interactive discussions, hands-on activities, peer critiques, and group collaboration to ensure an engaging learning environment.
• The goal of critique in this class is meant to be based in positivity and not negativity or “tearing down”. Honesty is encouraged, but empathy when giving critique is required!
• Break times/meal times are included; limited refrigerator space is available.
