PGT 2026 Workshop: Pint-Sized Paint Out for Kids

Description:   

Kids will have likely spotted plein air artists painting throughout the community during Paint Grand Traverse—now it’s their turn to give it a try! The Pint-Size Paint Out invites young artists, ages 3-17, to experience plein air painting by creating artwork outdoors, inspired by what they see in the moment.

Pre-registration is required, with space limited to 100 participants to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Upon check-in, each child will receive materials and be invited to paint around Crooked Tree Arts Center and Hannah Park.

Once finished, staff and volunteers will photograph each piece, and awards will be announced within a few days of the event. No experience is necessary—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to explore.
