Description: Join award-winning artist Kari Ruiz for this personalized 3-day oil painting workshop. Focus will be on the quick and confident capture of a subject in the timespan of 2 hours. This ‘Alla Prima’ (one session) technique will be great practice for plein air painting in warmer months. Group and individual instruction will be given on composing a scene while building confidence in value structure, color choices, and brushwork. Experience with oil painting is encouraged.

• Workshop is indoors, and the class will make quick forays outside to sketch and be informed by different lighting conditions.
• Meal break included; limited refrigerator space is available.
